Hanoverworld Etiquette guide

Think carefully whether the content you are posting or the language you are using could be offensive to anyone. If in doubt you can always check with the moderator.
If you pose a question and another member replies, acknowledge it, even if it is only to say thank you.
If you want to send a message just to one person, use the personal message (PM) facility. This is available by making that person a friend. Click on their profile photo, you will see 'send a message' below their photo.
Before posting a new discussion, check to see if there is already a discussion on this topic or a group for this subject. This can be done easily by using the search box at the top of the page or clicking on the discussion or groups tab. For example, if you have something for sale, use the 'For sale or free' group or if want to discuss the merits or not of new microsoft operating system.... use the 'Silver Surfers' group. If you want to start a discussion on how far people have to travel to go to hospital..... start a discussion in the 'Care and health' catagory of the discussion section.
Help other people find your content.... Do put tags on your discussions and anywhere else you are able to. These are words that people might put in the search box if they were looking for a discussion on your topic. For example, If your discussion post is about Manhole covers on the street going missing, you might use the tags 'manhole' 'iron' 'street' 'thieves' 'fall' 'hospital'.
